George Schinard is a Senior Commodity Manager for Wilmar Gavilon, with close to 15 years industry experience. Originally from South Africa, he spent a number of years working in various roles in England before moving to Australia to take up a position with Country Fresh Australia in 2003. George has been trading Animal Proteins since he commenced with Wilmar Gavilon in 2005. George has now been a director of the ARA for the past 7 years and has mainly been involved in issues relating to market access.
Wilmar Gavilon is 50:50 joint venture formed to invest in the sourcing and distribution of a variety of feed ingredients, oils and fats. Today Wilmar Gavilon is a vertically integrated supply chain management company with more than 2 million tons of commodities traded or handled annually. Wilmar International Limited, headquartered in Singapore, is Asia’s leading agribusiness group. Based out of Omaha Nebraska, Gavilon provides physical distribution, merchandising and trading across basic inputs and outputs, including grains, feed ingredients, and fertilizer. Gavilon is a fully owned subsidiary of the Marubeni Corporation.
